Red Series
RED is a series that focuses on the effects of housing discrimination in America. The artwork that is presented looks at this dynamic through the system of redlining. The long-lasting effects of housing discrimination on the neighborhood aesthetics of towns in America are shown in the photographed landscapes and buildings in the background of the postcards and three-dimensional models that are presented. In the foreground, the houses that have been relatively untouched by the process of redlining are presented and repeated, and this dichotomy is shown in the context of the current housing crisis and income inequality in cities across America.
